 The Walking Turkey Applique Set was designed to match the Fall Harvest Button Covers Set (sold separately)!  This set includes the Walking Turkey Applique in three hoop sizes - 6x10, 5x7 and 4x4.

The turkey's feathers can be made from all of the same cotton print or a variety of prints for a more whimsical look.

Walking Turkey Applique Instructions:

1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (legs).

Stitch second color (beak).

2.  Stitch third color (feather fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to the stitching as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch fifth color (feather satin stitching).

3. Stitch sixth color (feather fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to the stitching as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch eighth color (feather satin stitching).

 4. Stitch ninth color (feather fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to the stitching as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch 11th color (feather satin stitching).

 5. Stitch 12th color (feather fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to the stitching as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch 14th color (feather satin stitching).

 6. Stitch 15th color (feather fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 16th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to the stitching as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch 17th color (feather satin stitching).

 7. Stitch 18th color (turkey body fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 19th color to secure.
