The Valentine Heart Tie Tags make a fun alternative to a bow.  Bright ribbon is threaded through the slits and the Tie Tag can be tied around a variety of items!

Valentine Heart Tie Tag Instructions:

1. Hoop 1-2 layers of heavy duty water soluble stabilizer.  I used badgemaster.

Stitch first color (heart fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

2.   Stitch third color  (wording).

3. Float a second piece of fabric underneath hooped design, FACE DOWN, covering design area completely.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

4.  Stitch fifth color (heart satin stitching).

Stitch sixth color (buttonhole slits).

Remove from hoop and remove excess stabilizer.

Carefully open buttonholes with small scissors or a seam ripper.

Insert a piece of ribbon through all four button holes.

Tie around gift item.
