TIC TAC TOE PICTORIAL
This fun little game is made completely in the hoop from inexpensive felt! The board has a little pocket in the back to keep your pieces together! These are quick and easy to make!
For this project you will need felt squares and tearaway stabilizer.
Be sure to use the same color thread in your bobbin as the top thread if you want the back to look as finished as the front!
1. Hoop a piece of tearaway stabilizer and center a 5 x 5 piece of felt on top. Pin in place around the edges. Be sure to do a boundary test to make sure your needle will not hit a pin!
2. Sew the tictactoe board design to the first stop.

3. Float a second piece of 5x5 felt underneath your hoop. Sew to the second stop to secure.
4. Remove the hoop from your machine. Turn over and place a 5x5 piece of felt beginning about 3/4" from the top stitching line. (Pin from the top at both sides being careful to keep pins away from stitching lines.)

5. Replace in machine and sew to the third stop to secure. Sew to final stop for decorative topstitching.

6. Remove hoop from machine. Remove fabric from hoop. Gently tear away stabilizer.

7. Trim around decorative stitching leaving about 1/8" border.

8. Board will have a built in pocket at the back to hold playing pieces!

9. Hoop a piece of tearaway stabilizer and pin a 5x5" piece of felt on top and a second 5x5" piece of felt underneath the stabilizer. Pin in place around the edges. Be sure to do a boundary test to make sure your needle will not hit a pin!
Sew pieces out completely.

10. Trim around each playing piece leaving approximately 1/8" border.

11. Store pieces in back pocket.
