Teddy Claus Applique instructions:
 
1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.
Stitch first color (top hat fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch second color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stith third color (top hat satin stitching).
2. Stitch fourth color (side of hat fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch sixth color (side of hat satin stitching).
3.  Stitch seventh color (bear face fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch eighth color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stith ninth color (bear face satin stitching).
4.  Stitch tenth color (hat trim fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch 11th color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch 12th color (hat trim satin stitching and hat pompom fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch 13th color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch 14th color (pompom satin stitching).
Stitch 15th color (facial features).
