Storybook 3 Kittens Applique instructions:

1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (first kitten fabric placement outline).

Cover completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath. 

Stitch third color (first kitten satin stitching).

2. Stitch fourth color (second kitten fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch fifth color to secure. 

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch sixth color (second kitten satin stitching).

 3. Stitch seventh color (third kitten fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch eighth color to secure. 

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch ninth color (third kitten satin stitching).

4.  Stitch tenth color (first kitten - first mitten fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 11th color to secure. 

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 12th color (first mitten satin stitching and second mitten fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 13th color to secure. 

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 14th color (second mitten satin stitching).

5. Stitch 15th color (second kitten - first mitten fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 16th color to secure.
