1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (monkey head fabric placement outline).

Cover outline with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch third color (satin stitching).

2. Stitch fourth color (monkey muzzle fabric placement outline).

Cover outline with a piece of fabric.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch sixth color (satin stitching).

3. Stitch seventh color (smile).

Stitch eighth color (eyes).

4. Stitch ninth color (monkey hat fabric placement outline).

Cover outline with a piece of fabric.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 11th color (satin stitching).

 5. Stitch 12th color (monkey hat band fabric placement outline).

Cover outline with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Cover outline with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 16th color to secure.
