The Snugglesack Sam Softie set is the first set in the Snugglesack Sam series.  Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

Snugglesack Same is designed for the 5x7 hoop.

He is made entirely in one hooping and the only hand sewing required is one small seam which is whipped shut after stuffing.

Same is made from soft snuggly fleece and only requires 9 minutes stitching time!

Sam's Superhero Cape and Monster Costume are also designed for the 5x7 hoop and each is made entirely in one hooping!

They can be made from colorful cottons or flannel prints to create an entire wardrobe for your little one to dress Sam in when they go out!

Snugglesack Sam Softie Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 

Softie Sam Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (fabric placement outline).

2.  Place a piece of fleece on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

3.  Stitch third color (face fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of face outline, covering completely.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as close to face outline as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

4.  Stitch fifth color (hair).

5. Stitch sixth color (face satin stitching).

Stitch seventh color (nose).

7. Stitch eighth color (eyes & mouth).

8. Stitch ninth color (overalls outline/pocket).

9.  Place a second piece of fleece on top of design (face down), covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure.

10. Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves well.  Turn right side out. Stuff as desired and whip opening shut by hand.

You're finished!

Sam's Monster Costume Instructions

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or water soluble stabilizer.

Stitch first color (costume fabric placement outline).

Cut two 5x14" pieces of fabric.  Fold each in half and press well so it is 5x7".

Place one piece of folded fabric on top of sack outline, so folded edge is even with straight stitching line at bottom.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (face opening outline).

Trim both layers of fabric INSIDE face opening outline as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stabilizer underneath.

Stitch fourth color to reinforce.

Trim any fuzzies.

3. Stitch fifth color (Face opening satin stitching).

Stitch sixth color (teeth).

Stitch seventh color (smile).

4.  Place second piece of folded fabric on top of first with folded edges even.

Stitch final color to secure.

5.  Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

Clip curves well. Turn right side out.  Remove stabilizer from face opening.

You're finished!

Sam's Superhero Cape Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (cape fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

2. Cut 2 8" pieces of narrow ribbon.

Place one piece of ribbon over left hand edge of design so ribbon is approximately 1/8" from top horizontal age and approximately 1/2" of ribbon is outside left edge of design area and remainder of ribbon is inside design area.

Stitch third color to secure.

Repeat with second ribbon on right hand side.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

3. Stitch fifth color (S).

4.  Place a piece of fabric on top of design face down, covering entire design completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

  Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" - 1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves well. Turn right side out. Stitch small seam opening closed by hand and tie around Sam. You're finished!
