The Reindeer and Stocking Pocket Appliques were design for the 4x4 hoop.
These quick and easy to stitch pockets are great for adding on to a garment or tote.

Reindeer Pocket Stocking Instructions:
1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.
Stitch first color (antlers).
Stitch second color (nose).
Stitch third color (reindeer fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch fourth color to secure and to stitch pocket placement line.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch fifth color (eyes).
Fold and press a 5x8" piece of fabric so it is 5x4".
Place folded fabric on top of design so folded edge is even with pocket placement line, and entire portion below pocket placement line is completely covered.
IMPORTANT: Tape entire folded edge securely down so presser foot does not become entangled in pocket in future steps.
Stitch sixth color to secure.
Trim pocket fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch seventh color (satin stitching).
You're finished!

1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.
Stitch first color (stocking fabric placement outline).
Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.
Stitch second color to secure and to stitch pocket placement line.
Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Fold and press a 5x8" piece of fabric so it is 5x4".
Place folded fabric on top of design so folded edge is even with pocket placement line, and entire portion below pocket placement line is completely covered.
