Pooch Softies are made from inexpensive fleece.
Each one is made completely in one hooping
except for one small seam which is sewn shut by hand upon completion.
They are an incredibly quick and easy project!
Customize your pooch softies by varying the fleece and bandana prints.

Pooch Softies (includes pes, jef & hus formats):
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Float a piece of fleece (1" wider and 1" longer than hoop) on top of hooped stabilizer.
Stitch first color (pooch outline stitching).
2. Stitch second color (eyes, nose, and mouth).
3. Stitch third color (bandana fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric completely covering bandana fabric outline.
4. Stitch fourth color to secure.
Trim carefully as closely as possible to bandana stitching outline being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
5. Stitch fifth color (bandana satin stitching).
6. Place a second piece of fleece (same size as first) on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric.
Stitch final color to secure.
7. Remove from hoop.
Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Clip curves and corners.
Turn right side out and stuff as desired.
Sew small opening closed by hand.
You're finished!
