Our Pirate Monkey Finger Puppet Mini Set is designed for the 4x4 hoop.

Each finger puppet is made from inexpensive felt and is a very quick and easy project!

Included in this set is our little pirate monkey and his parrot.

Pirate Monkey Finger Puppet Mini Set(includes pes, jef & hus formats): 

 Pirate Monkey Finger Puppet instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Place a 5x5" piece of felt centered on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (monkey pants fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of monkey pants, covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

3.  Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch fourth color (monkey pants satin stitching). 

4. Stitch fifth color (monkey shirt fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of monkey shirt, covering completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

5.  Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch seventh color (monkey shirt satin stitching). 

  Stitch eighth color (monkey head).

6.  Stitch ninth color (monkey face).

7.  Stitch tenth color (monkey facial features).

8.  Stitch eleventh color (bandana tie).

Stitch 12th color (bandana fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of bandana, covering completely.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

9.  Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch 14th color (bandana satin stitching). 

10.  Float a second 5x5" piece of felt UNDER hooped design.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design.

You're finished!

Parrot Finger Puppet instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Place a 5x5" piece of felt centered on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (Tail).

Stitch third color (parrot body fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of parrot body, covering completely.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

3.  Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch fifth color (parrot body satin stitching). 

4. Stitch sixth color (wing fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of wing, covering completely.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

5.  Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch eighth color (wing satin stitching and second wing fabric placement outline). 

6.  Place a piece of fabric on top of wing, covering completely.

Stitch ninth color to secure.

7.  Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch tenth color (wing satin stitching).

8.  Stitch eleventh color (eyes).

9.  Stitch 12th color (inner eyes).

10.  Stitch 13th color (beak).

11.  Float a second 5x5" piece of felt UNDER hooped design.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design.
