Pillowcase Pockets Instructions

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

2. Stitch to the first color stop.

3. Place piece of fabric the size of your hoop (for sheet) on top of stabilizer and pin in place or float.

4. Stitch to next color stop.  This secures "sheet" in place and gives you the horizontal placement line for the "blanket".

DO NOT unhoop yet.

Carefully trim around the edge of the sheet as close as possible to the stitching line while still in the hoop. 

5. Stitch to the next color stop.  This is the pillow embroidery.

6. Place folded piece of fabric (for the blanket) with the top folded edge placed along the horizontal line.

7.  Stitch the next color stop securing "blanket" in place.  Trim around edges of "blanket" as close as possible to the stitching line while still in the hoop.

8. Stitch the final color applique edge.
