The Penny Toss Target was designed for the 5x7 hoop.  It is made entirely in one hooping with no other hand sewing required!

The Penny Toss Target only takes 24 minutes stitching time and only has 11 color stops.

Pennies, bingo chips or other small markers can be used to toss on the target to accumulate points.  High points wins!

Penny Toss Target instructions:

1. Hoop 1-2 layers of tearaway or heavy duty water soluble stabilizer (I used a tearaway water soluble stabilizer for best results).

Stitch first color (game fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch third color (upper left hand target circle and point value).

Stitch fourth color (upper right hand target circle and point value).

Stitch fifth color (large center target circle and point value).

Stitch sixth color (middle center target circle and point value).

Stitch seventh color (inner center target circle and point value).

Stitch eighth color (lower left hand target circle and point value).

Stitch ninth color (lower right hand target circle and point value).

2.  Float a second piece of fabric under hooped design FACE DOWN covering completely.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim both top and bottom layers of fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

Stitch final color (perimeter satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and remove excess stabilizer.

You're finished!
