Sarah needed some cute buttons for her new jean jacket and the 1 1/8" buttons were just a little too large so I decided to see if I could make a slightly smaller button cover set!  This set was designed for the 3/4' buttons!  They are perfect for pinning on a jean jacket or tote or for use in garments which require a smaller button.  Also sized perfectly for small barrettes!  Each Mini Button Cover only requires ONE minute stitching time! 

 The Peace, Love, Smiles Mini Button Covers set is designed for the 4x4 hoop.  Each button cover is made entirely in one hooping with a stitched guideline to make them easy to use with Fabric Covered Button Kits.  I used the Dritz Covered Button Kits. This set includes a peace sign, a heart, and a smiley button cover.  They are designed for 3/4" fabric button cover kits.  Simply stitch your button cover out and then assemble your fabric covered button according to the directions included with the fabric button kits.

Peace, Love, Smiles Mini Button Covers (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 Heart Button Cover

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (heart stitching).

Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of circle stitching right next to stitching.  Remove excess tearaway stabilizer inside design.

Assemble button according to button kit instructions.

 Smiley Button Cover

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (facial features stitching).

Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of circle stitching right next to stitching.  Remove excess tearaway stabilizer inside design.
