Our Octopus Finger Puppet is designed for the 4x4 hoop.

It is made from inexpensive felt and is a very quick and easy project!

Octopus Finger Puppet(includes pes, jef & hus formats): 

  Octopus Finger Puppet instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Place a 5x5" piece of felt centered on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (octopus arms).

3.  Stitch third color (Octopus head fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of octopus outline, covering completely.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

 Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut felt underneath or stitching.

Stitch fifth color (octopus satin stitching). 

4. Stitch sixth color (eyes and mouth).

  5.  Stitch seventh color (heart cheeks).

6.  Float a second 5x5" piece of felt UNDER hooped design.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design.
