The Numbers Match Game is the second set in the In The Hoop Game Series.  Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

The Number Match Game was designed to help little ones with counting and learning their numbers!  This first set includes a set of cards with the numerals 1-4 on each one.  Also included is a matching number card with the number word and a corresponding picture.

Place all the cards upside down and flip them over 2 at a time, trying to find pairs that go together!

The Numbers Match Game Cards are made completely in the hoop with no hand sewing required!  Each card is made in one 4x4 hooping.

Numeral Card Instructions:

1. Hoop 1-2 layers of water soluble or tearaway stabilizer.  I used a watersoluble/tearaway. 

Stitch first color (card fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch third color (numeral).

2. Float a second piece of fabric underneath hooped design, covering card outline completely.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim both layers of fabric around perimeter of design both on top and below hoop.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim away any fuzzies.

Stitch final color (card satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and remove excess stabilizer.

You're finished!

Number Word Card Instructions:

1. Hoop 1-2 layers of water soluble or tearaway stabilizer.  I used a watersoluble/tearaway. 

Stitch first color (card fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch picture word designs:

airplane:  propeller/window, airplane body, ONE word

birds:  beaks, bird bodies, eyes, TWO word

frogs:  eye whites, frog bodies, inner eyes/smiles, THREE word

butterflies:  antennae, butterfly bodies, FOUR word

2. Float a second piece of fabric underneath hooped design, covering card outline completely.

Stitch next color to secure.

Trim both layers of fabric around perimeter of design both on top and below hoop.

Stitch next color to secure.

Trim away any fuzzies.

Stitch final color (card satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and remove excess stabilizer.
