The Mini Pocket Baby Softie is designed for the 4x4 hoop.
This sweet little softie only requires 3 minutes stitching time and 6 color changes!  It is made completely in one hooping with only one small straight seam which is sewn closed by hand upon completion.

The pocket can be flipped to the front or the back of the softie to hold a special little treasure.

Mini Pocket Softie (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 Mini Pocket Softie Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer.

Center a 5x5'' piece of fleece on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure and to stitch pocket placement line.

2. Stitch second color (face).

Stitch third color (eyes, mouth).

Stitch fourth color (cheecks).

Cut and press a 5x6" piece of cotton fabric so it is 5x3".

Place on top of design so folded edge of fabric is even with pocket placement line in center of design and all of design below placement line is completely covered by fabric.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

3.  Place a second 5x5" piece of fleece on top of design covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure.

4. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance. Clip curves and corners well.

Turn right side out. Stuff as desired and sew small opening closed.

Pocket can be flipped to front or back of design.
