The Deluxe Mermaid Puppet Set is the second set in the Puppet Preorder Series.

The Deluxe Mermaid Puppet set includes puppets for three hoop sizes!

They are made from fleece or felt and colorful cotton fabric scraps!

They are very easy to make and each puppet is made in one hooping with no further sewing required.

Deluxe Mermaid Puppet Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 

Deluxe Mermaid Puppet Instructions for the 5x7 or 6x10 hoop:

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Place a piece of felt or fleece one inch wider and one inch longer than hoop directly on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (hair fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering hair outline.

2. Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to hair stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

3.  Stitch third color (hair satin stitching).

4.  Stitch fourth color (body fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering body outline.

5. Stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to body stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

6.  Stitch sixth color (body satin stitching).

7.  Stitch seventh color (tail fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering tail outline.

8. Stitch eighth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to tail stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

9.  Stitch ninth color (tail satin stitching).

10.  Stitch tenth color (top fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering top outline.

11. Stitch 11th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to top stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

12.  Stitch 12th color (top satin stitching).

13.  Stitch 13th color (eyes, mouth).

14.  Float a second piece of felt or fleece, identical in size to the piece in step one, UNDERNEATH hoop.

Stitch final color.

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design.

You're finished!

Deluxe Mermaid Finger Puppet for the 4x4 hoop:

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Place a piece of 5x5" felt or fleece directly on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (hair fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering hair outline.

2. Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to hair stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

3.  Stitch third color (hair satin stitching).

4.  Stitch fourth color (body and face).

5.  Stitch fifth color (tail fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering tail outline.

6. Stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to tail stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

7.  Stitch seventh color (tail satin stitching).

8.  Stitch eighth color (top fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric totally covering top outline.

9. Stitch ninth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to top stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath or stitching.

10.  Stitch 10th color (top satin stitching).

11.  Stitch 11th color (eyes, mouth).

12.  Float a second piece of 5x5" felt or fleece UNDERNEATH hoop.

Stitch final color.

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design.
