Marker/Make-up Brush Rolls

For the 5x7 and 6x10 Hoops!

This In The Hoop roll comes in two different sizes and is designed to hold markers, make-up brushes, or eye pencils.

You're bound to find many uses for this great size roll!

The 5x7 Marker/Make-up Brush Roll holds 4 markers or brushes.

The 6x10 Marker-Make-up Brush Roll holds 8 markers or brushes.

They are made entirely in the hoop except for one small seam which is stitch shut upon completion (I topstitch mine). 

They take very little fabric and would make great party favors or gifts!

Marker/Make-up Roll Instructions:

 Fabric measurements are given for the 5x7 roll.  6x10 roll measurements are in parentheses.

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

2. Stitch the first color (outline).

3. Place a 7x6 (7x11) piece of fabric centered over the outline.

4. Stitch the second color to secure in place.

5.  Fold and press a 10x6 (8x11) piece of fabric so it is 5x6"(4x11").

Place folded edge along horizontal placement line on hooped stabilizer/fabric.

6. Stitch the third color to secure pocket and stitch dividers.

7.  Stitch the fourth color (ribbon placement line).

8. Fold a 24" piece of ribbon in half and place centered on the ribbon placement line so 1/2" extends OUTSIDE of fabric outline stitching.

9. Stitch the fifth color to secure in place.

10.  Tape the ribbon INSIDE the fabric outline stitching.

11.  Place a 7x6 (7x11)piece of fabric on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric FACE DOWN.  Stitch the final color.

12.  Remove from hoop and trim leaving approximately 1/2" seam allowance.  Clip corners.

13.  Turn rightside out.  Stitch opening shut by hand or topstitch.

Insert Markers and tie.
