The Kutie Sock Monkey Hand Puppet was designed for the 5x7 hoop.  It is made entirely in one hooping with no hand sewing required!

Kutie SockMonkey Hand Puppet Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Float a 6x8" piece of felt on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (sock monkey fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

Stitch third color (sock monkey satin stitching).

2.  Stitch fourth color (sock monkey top of head fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

Stitch sixth color (sock monkey top of head satin stitching and sock monkey bottom of head fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

Stitch eighth color (bottom of head satin stitching).

3.  Stitch ninth color (red trim).

Stitch tenth color (eyes).

4.  Float a second piece of felt under hooped design.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design.
