Deluxe Honey Bee Baby Softies (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

Honey Bee Baby Softies Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (body fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric or fleece (1" longer and 1" wider than hoop size) on top of body outline, covering completely.

2.  Stitch second color to secure.

3.  Stitch third color (face).

4.  Stitch fourth color (cheeks).

5.  Stitch fifth color (Eyes, mouth, antennae).

6.  Stitch sixth color (first stripe fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of stripe outline, covering completely.

7.  Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim top and bottom of stripe fabric close to stitching outline.

IMPORTANT:  Be sure to leave a seam allowance at both left and right side of stripe fabric!

8.  Stitch eighth color (second stripe fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of second stripe outline, covering completely.

9.  Stitch ninth color to secure.

Trim top and bottom of stripe fabric close to stitching outline.

IMPORTANT:  Be sure to leave a seam allowance at both left and right side of stripe fabric!

10.  Stitch tenth color (stripes satin stitching).

11.  Place a second piece of fabric, same size as first, on top of hooped project, FACE DOWN.

NOTE:  I highly recommend using fleece as the second piece, even if you used cotton for the first, as this will make turning much easier and result in a nicer looking softie when finished. :)

12.  stitch eleventh color to secure.

13.  Remove from hoop, and trim, leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves and corners well.

Turn right side out, stuff, and sew small seam opening closed by hand.

You're finished!
