In our family, we are huge gift givers!  Every holiday warrants little gifts to each other!   Our new Mini Treat Sacs are the perfect for these tiny gifts!  These small little sacs are incredibly cute, yet each measures only about 2.5 x 3" for an inexpensive party favor or small gift bag!

Each Holiday Mini Sac is made entirely in one 4x4 hooping with no hand sewing required!

Holiday Treat Sac Instructions:

Reindeer Holiday Treat Sac

Cut 2 4x8" pieces of fabric and fold in half and press so they are 4x4". 

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway or tearaway stabilizer.

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

Center one piece of fleece on top of hooped stabilizer.

Center one piece of fabric on top of fleece.

Stitch first color to secure and to stitch border.
Stitch second color (cherry).

2. Stitch third color (cupcake bottom fabric placement outline).

 Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch fifth color (cupcake bottom satin stitching).
Stitch sixth color (cupcake top fabric placement outline).

 Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch eighth color (cupcake top satin stitching).

     3.  Center second piece of fabric on top of design FACE DOWN covering completely.

Center second piece of fleece on top of fabric covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure.

4. Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance, clipping curves well.

Turn right side out.

Insert 2-3 tablespoons of spices between fleece layers.

(I used 1 part allspice, 1 part cinnamon, 1 part cloves for mine!).

Sew small opening closed tightly by hand or machine.

You can topstitch around entire design if desired.

 Set casserole dish, teapot or mug on top of mat.

 Stitch first color (treat sac fabric placement outline).

Place one piece of fabric on top of outline so folded edge is even with top horizontal stitching line and entire design is completely covered.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (nose).

Stitch fourth color (antlers).

Stitch fifth color (body).

Stitch sixth color (eye).

3.  Place second piece of folded fabric on top of design so folded edge is even with folded edge of previously placed fabric piece and entire design is completely covered.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop.

Trim around perimeter of design and trim away stabilizer from sac opening.

Turn right side out.

You're finished!

Easter Egg Holiday Treat Sac

Cut 2 4x8" pieces of fabric and fold in half and press so they are 4x4". 

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway or tearaway stabilizer.

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

Center one piece of fleece on top of hooped stabilizer.

Center one piece of fabric on top of fleece.

Stitch first color to secure and to stitch border.
Stitch second color (cherry).

2. Stitch third color (cupcake bottom fabric placement outline).

Stitch fourth color to secure.

3.  Place second piece of folded fabric on top of design so folded edge is even with folded edge of previously placed fabric piece and entire design is completely covered.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop.

Trim around perimeter of design and trim away stabilizer from sac opening.

Turn right side out.

Frankie Holiday Treat Sac

Trim around perimeter of design and trim away stabilizer from sac opening.

Turn right side out.

Turkey Holiday Treat Sac

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath. 

Stitch 11th color (wing satin stitching).

 Stitch 12th color (body fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath. 

Stitch 14th color (body satin stitching).

Stitch 15th color (eyes).

Stitch 16th color (beak).

Stitch 17th color (wattle).

3.  Place second piece of folded fabric on top of design so folded edge is even with folded edge of previously placed fabric piece and entire design is completely covered.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop.

Trim around perimeter of design and trim away stabilizer from sac opening.

Turn right side out.
