Year Round Softies and More!

Join the Softies as we work our way around the calendar!  Each week for four weeks, the Softies will visit a different occasion!

There will be softies, appliques and other fun things in store!

This week's set of Year Round Softies are the Halloween YearRound Softies!

The Halloween YearRound Softies set is sized for the 5x7 hoop.

Halloween is just around the corner and our little duck, frog and poodle are all dressed up as a super hero, vampire and wizard and ready for the fun!

SuperPoodle, VampireFrog and WizardDuck are sure to be the best dressed animals out trick or treating!

The Halloween Year Round Softies Set includes Softies, hand puppets, and regular embroidery designs!

Softies Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer.  Center a 5x8 piece of fleece on top of stabilizer.

2.  Stitch all colors EXCEPT the final color. 

3.  Lay a 5x8" piece of fleece on top of the stabilizer/fabric right side facing DOWN.

4.  Stitch the final color to secure in place.

5.  Carefully cut around outline of Softie, leaving an approximately 1/8 - 1/4" seam allowance.  Clip corners and curves as needed.

6.  Turn inside out.  Stuff with fiberfil as desired.

7.  Stitch opening shut.

Hand Puppet Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer.

2.  Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).

3.  Place a 6x8" piece of polar fleece on top of fabric placement line, with bottom edge even with bottom left and right edges of puppet sides. 

4.  Stitch all remaining colors EXCEPT final color.

5.  Add a second piece of 6x8" piece of polar fleece on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric so bottom edge is even with bottom edge of first piece of polar fleece.

6.  Stitch final color to secure in place.

7.  Unhoop and trim, clipping all corner and curves.

8.  Turn inside out.

You're finished!
