The Give The Dog A Bone Game is the first game in the In The Hoop Game Series!  Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

Our hungry little pooches are in search of a good meal!

Your little one can help them out by tossing them the bone!

Our game mat has been appliqued with an assortment of pooches,

each with a different point value.

Simply toss the bone beanbags to the pooches to give them a snack and

rack up points!

Bone beanbags can be stitched on different colored fabrics for additional players.

Our game mat has three pooches, but you can make your game mat as large or small as you'd like!

Beanbags are made from fleece entirely in the hoop with just one small seam to be sewn closed by hand upon completion!

I made our Game Mat, but the pooches could also be appliqued onto a large placemat

or table runner instead to eliminate this step!

Give The Dog A Bone Game Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

  

 

Gamemat Instructions:

To assemble gamemat, simply stitch desired number of pooches onto a square of fabric. 

Stitch a second piece of fabric or fleece, the same size, with right sides together, around all four sides leaving a small opening, 5-6", for turning.

Turn right side out and stitch opening shut.

Bone Beanbag Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (beanbag outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fleece.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (bone).

3.  Place a 6x6" piece of fleece FACE DOWN on top of design, covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop, trim around perimeter of design leaving 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Turn right side out and stuff lightly (can use polyfil, polybeads, beans, etc.).

Sew small opening shut by hand or machine.

You're finished!

Pooch Applique Instructions:

1.  Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (pooch fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of top of pooch outline, covering completely.

2.  Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath.

3.  Stitch third color (pooch satin stitching).

4.  Stitch fourth color (eye spot).

Stitch fifth color (eyes, mouth).

Stitch sixth color (nose).

5.  Stitch seventh color (bandana fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline, covering completely.

Stitch eighth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible without cutting fabric underneath.

6.  Stitch ninth color (bandana satin stitching).

7.  Stitch tenth color (number).
