This fun chalkboard set combines quick and easy appliques with fun chalkboard fabric or photo fabric transfer paper!
The Gingerbread Chalkboard/Photo Applique is included in two sizes for the 5x7 and 6x10 hoops!
It can be used with chalkboard fabric or photo fabric transfer paper for added versatility!
The chalkboard applique is great to add to a tote bag or placemat for on the go entertainment for a little one!
Or use a favorite photo (ironed onto fabric with transfer paper) to make a special tshirt or sweatshirt!
Also included is a 5x7 Ginger pocket which has so many uses!
I used it on Sarah's placemat to hold her chalk and a piece of felt for erasing.
It will also make great pockets on a jumper or tshirt or use it to hold silverware on a placemats!

Gingerbread Chalkboard/Photo Applique Instructions:
Gingerbread Applique Instructions:
1. Hoop stabilizer/garment as desired.
2. Stitch first color (gingerbread body fabric placement outline).
3. Place a piece of brown fabric on top of fabric placement outline. Stitch second color to secure.
Carefully trim around perimeter of stitching being careful not to cut garment or stitching.
4. Stitch third color (gingerbread body satin stitching).
5. Stitch fourth color (chalkboard/photo fabric placement outline).
6. Place a piece of chalkboard fabric or photo fabric (follow manufacturer's instructions) on top of fabric placement outline. Stitch fifth color to secure.
Carefully trim around perimeter of stitching being careful not to cut garment or stitching.
7. Stitch sixth color (chalkboard/photo satin stitching).
8. Stitch seventh color (first mitten/hand fabric placement outline.
9. Place a scrap of fabric on top of fabric placement outline. Stitch eighth color to secure.
Carefully trim around perimeter of stitching being careful not to cut garment or stitching.
10. Stitch ninth color (first mitten satin stitching and second mitten fabric placement outline).
11. Place a scrap of fabric on top of fabric placement outline. Stitch tenth color to secure.
Carefully trim around perimeter of stitching being careful not to cut garment or stitching.
12. Stitch eleventh color (second mitten satin stitching).
13. Stitch twelfth color (icing and nose).
14. Stitch thirteenth color (cheeks).
15. Stitch fourteenth color (eyes and mouth).
You're finished!
Gingerbread Pocket Instructions:
1. Hoop stabilizer/garment as desired.
2. Stitch first color (gingerbread body fabric placement outline).
3. Place a piece of brown fabric on top of fabric placement outline. Stitch second color to secure.
Carefully trim around perimeter of stitching being careful not to cut garment or stitching.
4. Stitch third color (pocket fabric placement outline).
Cut piece of fabric 6x10". Fold in half and press. Place piece of folded fabric on top of gingerbread man with top folded edge even with top sides of pocket fabric placement outline.
IMPORTANT: Tape pocket down along the length of folded edge so presser foot does not become entangled in future steps!
5. Stitch fourth color to secure pocket in place.
6. Carefully trim around perimeter of pocket fabric stitching being careful not to cut garment or stitching.
7. Stitch fifth color (gingerbread body satin stitching).
8. Stitch sixth color (icing and nose).
9. Stitch seventh color (cheeks).
10. Stitch eighth color (eyes and mouth).
