The Chunky Frog and Chunky Hippo Applique Alphabet Sets

were designed to coordinate with the Chunky Frog and Chunky Hippo Softies and Appliques Sets.

They are quick and easy miniature appliques using only one fabric and very few thread changes!

Cute for personalizing children's clothing, bags, or quilts!

The characters are approximately 1.75 x 2.5".

5 characters can be easily combined lengthwise in one 6x10 hooping.

The characters can be used from just one set or mixed and matched!

Chunky Frog Alphabet Set Instructions:

1.  Stitch first color (frog eyes).

2.  Stitch second color (frog fabric placement outline).

3.  Place a piece of fabric on top of frog outline, covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

4.  Trim around perimeter of frog outline as closely as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch fourth color (kitty satin stitching and feet).

5.  Stitch fifth color (feet).

6.  Stitch sixth color (eyes, smile).

7. Stitch seventh color (alphabet letter).

Chunky Hippo Alphabet Set Instructions:

1.  Stitch first color (hippo fabric placement outline).

2.  Place a piece of fabric on top of hippo outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

3.  Trim around perimeter of hippo outline as closely as possible being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

Stitch third color (hippo satin stitching and feet).

4.  Stitch fourth color  (feet).

5.  Stitch fifth color (eyes, smile).

6. Stitch sixth color (alphabet letter).
