The Flamingo Puppet Set includes puppets for 3 hoop sizes:
Flamingo Hand Puppet for the 6x10 hoop
Flamingo Hand Puppet for the 5x7 hoop
Flamingo Finger Puppet for the 4x4 hoop
Make all of the sizes for an entire family!
Or make the large and small puppets for adult/child interaction.
The Flamingo Puppets are each made completely in one hooping
from inexpensive fleece and fabric scraps!
They are very quick and easy to make!

Flamingo Puppet Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Place a piece of fleece or felt (1" wider and 1" longer than hoop size) on top of hooped stabilizer.
Stitch first color to secure.
2. Stitch second color (eyes).
3. Stitch third color (top of beak fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of beak outline, covering completely.
4. Stitch fourth color to secure.
Trim fabric around beak top outline stitching as closely as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fleece underneath.
5. Stitch fifth color (top of beak satin stitching).
6. Stitch sixth color (bottom of beak fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of beak outline, covering completely.
7. Stitch seventh color to secure.
Trim fabric around beak bottom outline stitching as closely as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fleece underneath.
8. Stitch eighth color (bottom of beak satin stitching).
9. Float a second piece of fleece or felt (1" wider and 1" longer than hoop size) beneath hoop.
Stitch ninth color to secure in place.
10. Remove from hoop and cut around perimeter of puppet outline.
You're finished!
Please note: If desired, the final piece of fleece/felt can be placed on top of puppet design, then stitched. If placed on top, trim around perimeter of design, leaving approximately 1/4"-3/8" seam allowance and clipping curves and corners well, and turn right side out.
