Our 5x7 Firefigther boy and Firefighter girl puppets are each made entirely in one hooping.  Each firefighter is dressed in their uniform ready for the call!  They are each made in the 5x7 hoop and sized for a child's hand.

5x7 Firefighter Boy & Girl Hand Puppets:

Firefighter BOY Puppet instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Place a piece of 6x8" felt on top of stabilizer, centered.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (face fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch fourth color (face satin stitching, nose, hands).

3. Stitch fifth color (hair fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch seventh color (hair satin stitching).

4.  Stitch eighth color (facial features).

5. Stitch ninth color (hat fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 11th color (hat satin stitching).

6. Stitch 12th color (clothing fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

7.  Stitch 14th color (hat trim).

8.  Stitch 15th (clothing trim fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 16th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 17th color (clothing trim satin stitching).

Stitch 18th (second clothing trim fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 19th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 20th color (clothing trim satin stitching).

Stitch 21th color (clothing satin stitching).

9.  Float a second 6x8" piece of felt UNDERNEATH hooped design, covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure. 

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design.

You're finished!

Firefighter GIRL Puppet instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Place a piece of 6x8" felt on top of stabilizer, centered.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (face fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch fourth color (face satin stitching, nose, hands).

Stitch fifth color (facial features).

3. Stitch sixth color (clothing fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

4. Stitch 8th color (clothing trim fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 9th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 110th color (clothing trim satin stitching).

Stitch 11th (second clothing trim fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 12th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 13th color (clothing trim satin stitching).

Stitch 14th color (clothing satin stitching).

5.  Stitch 15th color (hair fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 16th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 17th color (hair satin stitching).

6.  Stitch 18th color (hat fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 19th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 20th color (hat satin stitching).

7. Stitch 21st color (hat trim).

8. Float a second 6x8" piece of felt UNDERNEATH hooped design, covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure. 

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design.
