Finger Puppet Pictorial
After releasing my Three Little Pigs set, a very nice lady emailed me and suggested that they could be made into very cute finger puppets! I couldn't agree more! So I have adapted them to in the hoop finger puppets! These sew up incredibly fast and are stitched on felt making them very inexpensive! They are also about the easiest in the hoop project you could make - perfect for a beginner! They would make a super gift for a teacher or young child.
If you prefer you can also just stitch out the characters on a single layer of felt for use on a felt board! I hope you enjoy these! Look for more finger puppets in the future!
Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer and lay a piece of felt to it and pin it on each edge. I like to use a piece that is a bit larger than the design as it just gives the design a little added stability when stitching. :) I have used a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2" piece of felt on these with excellent results.

2. Place your hoop in your machine and completely stitch the design character. Then stitch the first outline.

3. Float a second piece of felt underneath the hoop. You do not need to pin this or attach in any way. Simply slip the second piece of felt underneath your hoop/stabilizer.
4. Stitch the second outline stitch which is a slightly heavier outline stitch for durability.
5. Remove your hoop from the machine and unhoop the felt/stabilizer. Gently tear away the stabilizer.

6. Trim the finger puppet about 1/8" around the outline stitching and across the bottom.

Your finger puppet is completed! How easy was that???
