Instructions are given for 5x7 softies. Measurements for 4x4 softies are in parentheses.
Wool Felt Monster One Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.
Center a 6x8" (5x5") piece of felt on top of stabilizer.
Stitch first color to secure.
2. Stitch second color (eye whites).
Stitch third color (eyes, smile).
Stitch fourth color (nose).
Float a second piece of felt same size as first under hooped design, covering design completely.
Stitch final color to secure.
3. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design approximately 1/8" from stitching.
DO NOT trim felt next to seam opening until after stuffing and stitching.
Stuff lightly with polyfil.
Note; It is not necessary to get the felt into every tiny crevice when using the felt, and actually many areas such as horns and wings look better left flat. :)
Stitch opening closed by machine.
Finish trimming felt around seam opening.
You're finished!
