Felt Bunny Cone Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (cone fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of felt on top of fabric outline, covering completely.

2. Stitch second color to secure.

3.  Stitch third color (nose).

4.  Stitch fourth color (eyes, mouth).

5.  Stitch fifth color (cheeks).

6.  Stitch 6th color (ribbon handle placement lines).

7.  Cut a 12" piece of ribbon for 5x7 cone or 14" piece of ribbon for 6x10 cone.

Remove hoop from machine but do NOT remove design from hoop. Place one end of ribbon on the right hand ribbon outline (when hooped design is upside down) so 1/2" extends inside design and remainder is outside design area.

Tape down to secure.

Stitch 7th color to secure.

8.  Place other end of ribbon piece on second ribbon outline so 1/2" extends inside design and remainder is outside design area.

Tape ribbon loop down OUTSIDE design area.  Be careful that entire loop is taped down so presser foot cannot become entangled in future steps.

Stitch 8th color to secure.

9.  Float a second piece of felt under hooped design, covering entire design completely.

Stitch final color to secure.

10.  Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design approximately 1/8" from perimeter stitching being very careful not to cut ribbon loop.

Fold both sides of bunny to back so they meet to form a cone (Bunny face will be on OUTSIDE of cone).

Sew together by machine along stitched line from bottom to side corners.

You're finished!
