The Fashion Doll Nightgown was designed to fit most 11 1/2" fashion dolls.  It is designed for the 5x7 hoop and made entirely in two hoopings with no other hand sewing required.

 Fashion Doll Nightgown Instructions:

BACK:

1. Hoop one or two layers of heavy  clear water soluble stabilizer (I used Badgemaster for best results).

Stitch first color (nightgown fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric around perimeter of design closely to stitching being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer underneath.

2. Cut four 8" ribbon ties (1/8 - 1/4" wide).

Place one ribbon tie over top straight edge of nightgown approximately 1/8" from left arm curve with 1/2" of ribbon extending towards middle of hoop and remaining length of ribbon extending out of hoop.

Tape ribbon in place.

Repeat with second ribbon tie on right hand side.

Tape ribbon in place.

Stitch third color to secure ribbon ties.

3.  Stitch fourth color (nightgown satin stitching).

 Remove from hoop.

DO NOT remove excess stabilizer.

FRONT:

1. Hoop one or two layers of heavy  clear water soluble stabilizer (I used Badgemaster for best results).

Stitch first color (nightgown fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric around perimeter of design closely to stitching being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer underneath.

2. Place one ribbon tie over top straight edge of nightgown approximately 1/8" from left arm curve with 1/2" of ribbon extending towards middle of hoop and remaining length of ribbon extending out of hoop.

Tape ribbon in place.

Repeat with second ribbon tie on right hand side.

Tape ribbon in place.

Stitch third color to secure ribbon ties.

3.  Stitch fourth color (nightgown satin stitching).

4.  Place previously stitching BACK piece on top of hooped design FACE DOWN lining up all edges.

Tape in place if desired.

5. Stitch fifth color (sides stitching).

6.  Remove from hoop.  Remove excess stabilizer, trim any stray threads.

Turn right side out.  You're finished!
