The Fashion Doll Kitchen Set is the fifth set in the Be An Angel Series.
Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

At the ripe old age of 8, Sarah just decided this month that she suddently loves Barbies! She has never had any interest in them up to this point so this is all very new to us!
Of course, I had to make something for her new friends. :)
The Fashion Doll Kitchen Set is designed to fit 11 1/2" fashion dolls.
It consists of an apron, an oven mitt, and a potholder. All three are incredibly quick and easy to make!
Each item is made entirely in the hoop. The only hand stitching required is one straight seam on the apron which is sewn shut upon completion.
The Fashion Doll Kitchen Set is designed for the 5x7 hoop.

Fashion Doll kitchen Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):
Fashion Doll Apron:
1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or heavy water soluble stabilizer.
Stitch first color (apron fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of apron outline, covering completely.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Cut 2 6-8 pieces of narrow ribbon.
Place one piece on the left hand TOP of apron design so approximately 1/2" extends above apron outline, and remainder is extending inside apron outline. Tape in place.
Repeat with second piece of ribbon on right hand side.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Cut 2 6-8" pieces of narrow ribbon.
Place one piece on the left hand side of apron approximately 1/2" below the slanted underarm stitching line so so approximately 1/2" extends outside apron outline, and remainder is extending inside apron outline. Tape in place.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
Place one piece on the right hand side of apron approximately 1/2" below the slanted underarm stitching line so so approximately 1/2" extends outside apron outline, and remainder is extending inside apron outline. Tape in place.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
4. Make sure all ribbon pieces are INSIDE design area (tape in place) with only the 1/2" ends extending past outline.
Place a second piece of fabric on top of apron design FACE DOWN.
Stitch sixth color to secure.
5. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance and clipping corners. Turn right side out and press well. Sew small seam opening closed by hand.
You're finished!
Fashion Doll Oven Mitt
1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or heavy water soluble stabilizer.
Stitch first color (oven mitt fabric placement outline).
Cut two pieces of 3x6" pieces of fabric and fold in half and press well so they are 3x3".
Place a piece of folded fabric on top of oven mitt outline, with folded edge just covering straight horizontal stitching line and remainder of design completely covered.
Stitch second color to secure.
Cut a 3x3" piece of fleece and slide inside second piece of folded fabric.
Place second piece of folded fabric on top of oven mitt outline, with folded edge even with previous folded fabric piece.
Stitch third color to secure.
2. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance and clipping corners and curve very well. Carefully turn right side out and press well. Note: I used a pencil to turn the oven mitt and turned the main part first and the thumb portion last for easiest turning.
You're finished!
Fashion Doll potholder
1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or heavy water soluble stabilizer (I prefer ultra solvy for best results).
Stitch first color (ribbon loop placement outline).
Cut a 2"piece of ribbon and fold in half. Place ribbon loop on top of ribbon outline, centered, with loop portion extending above stitching line (toward hoop edges), and cut edges extending below stitching line (toward hoop center).
Tape in place
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Stitch third color (oven mitt fabric placement outline).
Cut two pieces of 3x3" pieces of fabric and 1 3x3" piece of fleece.
Place a piece of fabric on top of potholder outline, covering completely.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
3. Float fleece underneath hoop design, covering design completely.
Float second piece of fabric under hooped design, FACE DOWN, covering completely..
Stitch fifth color to secure.
4. Trim both fabric layers and fleece layer as closely to stitching outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or ribbon loop.
Stitch final color (potholder satin stitching).
5. Remove from hoop. Remove excess stabilizer.
You're finished!
