The Fashion Doll Head to Toe Set includes little accessories for your fashion doll.  This set includes a hat which can be worn cuffed or uncuffed, slippers, and a headband.  Make several to match all of her favorite outfits!  All items are made entirely in the hoop with no hand sewing required!  These are all incredibly quick and easy to stitch!  All items can be sewn in the 4x4 hoop.

Headband instructions:

1. Hoop one or two layers of heavy duty water soluble stabilizer - I use Badgemaster for best results.

2.  Stitch first color (headband fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of headband outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

Place a 4" piece of 1/8" elastic lengthwise across design.  Ends will extend  past straight short sides of headband outline.

Tape entire length of elastic securely in place so presser foot does not become entangled in design in future steps.

Stitch third color to secure.

3.  Float a second piece of fabric UNDER HOOP RIGHT SIDE facing down.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim both top and bottom layers of fabric close to stitching being very careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.  Trim elastic close to stitching also.

Stitch final color (headband satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and remove excess stabilizer.

You're finished!

Slippers Instructions:

1. Hoop one or two layers of heavy duty  water soluble stabilizer - I use Badgemaster for best results.

Stitch first color (slipper fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of flannel fabric on top of slipper outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure and to stitch next fabric placement outline.

2.  Fold a 2 x 3" piece of flannel fabric in half so it is 2 x 1 1/2" and press.

Place folded edge on top of slipper design so folded edge is even with horizontal fabric placement line and top of design is completely covered.

Stitch third color to secure.

3.  Trim folded fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching.

Trim fabric layer underneath folded fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching. 

  4.  Float a piece of fabric underneath hooped design, Right side facing AWAY from hoop (face down). 

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

 Stitch final color (slipper satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and trim away any excess stabilizer.

Tack on a small bow by hand if desired.

You're finished!

 Hat instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (hat fabric placement outline).

Cut two pieces of 4x8" flannel fabric. 

Fold both pieces in half and press so they are 4x4".

Place one piece of fabric on top of hat outline so folded edge is even with straight horizontal line at bottom of outline and entire design is covered.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (heart).

Place second piece of folded fabric on top of design so folded edge is even with previous folded edge.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance. Trim stabilizer from opening.

Turn right side out.  Hat may be cuffed if desired.

Note:  Hat and slipper both are made to fit snugly at first as the flannel tends to loosen after placing on head a time or two.   The snug fit ensures they will stay in place even after several wearings.
