The Fashion Doll Dress-Up Wings are the third set in the Fashion Doll Series.  Thank you to everyone who preordered this series.

The Fashion Doll Dress-up Wings were designed for the 5x7 hoop.  Each set of wings is made entirely in one hooping with no other hand sewing required.  Each set of wings has elastic straps that easily fit over your favorite 11 1/2" fashion doll's arms.

The Fashion Doll Dress-Up Wings Set includes both Butterfly Wings and Ladybug Wings.

Fashion Doll Dress-Up Wings Set (includes pes, jef, and hus formats):

 Fashion Doll  Wings

1. Hoop one layer of heavy duty water soluble stabilizer.

Stitch first color (wings fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

2. Stitch third color (spots for ladybug, outline for butterfly).

3.  Stitch fourth color (elastic placement outlines).

Cut two 2 1/2" pieces of 1/8" elastic.

Place first piece centered over left hand elastic placement outline centered with cut ends extending past short stitching lines on top and bottom of outline rectangle.

Tape in place to secure.

Stitch fifth color to secure top.

Trim excess elastic extending above top of outline next to stitching.

Stitch sixth color (elastic satin stitching).

Stitch seventh color to secure bottom edge of elastic.

Trim excess elastic extending below bottom of outline next to stitching.

Stitch eighth color (elastic satin stitching).

Repeat with second piece of elastic on right side, stitching colors 9-12.

4.  Float two layers of heavy cutaway stabilizer under hooped design.

Float one layer of fabric FACE DOWN under stabilizer.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Trim both top and bottom layers of fabric and both layers of cutaway stabilizer as closely to outline stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

Stitch final color (wings satin stitching).

Remove from hoop.  Remove excess water soluble stabilizer. Insert fashion doll's arms through straps.
