Eggville People Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway stabilizer.  Stitch the first color (egg outline).

2.  Place one small piece of scrap felt over outline stitching.

3.  Stitch the second color to secure in place.

4.  Stitch all remaining colors EXCEPT the final color!

5.  Add a second piece of scrap felt on top of the stitched felt.

6.  Stitch the final color to secure in place.

7.  Trim around the egg outline stitching and carefully remove stabilizer.

8.  Turn egg inside out, stuff and whip opening shut.

You're finished!

Eggville Elementary School PlayMat

2 pieces 6x8" fabric

1 piece 6x8" thin batting

1 4x6" piece of medium weight vinyl

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

2.  Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).

3.  Place one 6x8"piece of thin batting on top of stabilizer being careful to completely cover outline.

Add one layer of 6x8" fabric on top of batting.

4.  Stitch the second color to secure in place.

5.  Stitch next four colors (school stitching).

6.  Add one piece of 3.5x6" vinyl at the bottom of the school so the top edge of vinyl is even with the top of the door.

8.  Stitch the seventh color to secure in place.  Using tiny scissors trim vinyl around stitching as closely as possible without cutting stitching.

9.   Place a 6x8" piece of fabric FACE DOWN on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric.  Stitch the final color to secure in place.

11.  Unhoop mat and trim around perimeter of stitching leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

Turn right side out and whip opening shut.

12.  Insert Egg Teacher in the pocket!

Eggville Elementary Bus/Eggmobile (5x7)

2 pieces 6x8" fabric

1 piece 7.5x8" fabric folded in half and pressed well to 7.5 x 4"

1 piece 6x8" thin batting

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

2.  Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).

3.  Place one 6x8"piece of thin batting on top of stabilizer being careful to completely cover outline.

Add one layer of 6x8" fabric on top of batting.

4.  Stitch the second color to secure in place.

5.  Place pressed piece of fabric on top of outline stitching, with folded edge even with horizontal stitched line.  Stitch the third color to secure in place. Using tiny scissors trim pocket fabric around stitching as closely as possible without cutting stitching.

6.   Stitch fourth color (wording).

7.  Place a 6x8" piece of fabric FACE DOWN on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric.  Stitch the final color to secure in place.

8.  Unhoop vehicle and trim around perimeter of stitching leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

Turn right side out and whip opening shut.

12.  Insert Busdriver in the front pocket!

Mini 4x4 School Bus

2 pieces 4x5" fabric

1 piece 3x5" vinyl

1 piece 4x5" thin batting

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

2.  Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).

3.  Place one 4x5" piece of thin batting on top of stabilizer being careful to completely cover outline.

Add one layer of 4x5" fabric on top of batting.

4.  Stitch the second color to secure in place.

5.  Place vinyl on top of outline stitching, with top edge even with horizontal stitched line.  Stitch the third color to secure in place. Using tiny scissors trim vinyl around stitching as closely as possible without cutting stitching.

6.  Place a 4x5" piece of fabric FACE DOWN on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric.  Stitch the final color to secure in place.

7.  Unhoop vehicle and trim around perimeter of stitching leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

Turn right side out and whip opening shut.

8.  Insert Busdriver in the front pocket!

EGGVILLE School Chalkboard

2 pieces 6x8" fabric

1 piece 5x8" chalkboard fabric

2 - 2" pieces of 1/4" elastic

1 piece of chalk

1.  Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

2.  Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).

3.  Place one layer of 6x8" fabric on top of stabilizer.

4.  Stitch the second color to secure in place.

5.   Stitch third color (schoolhouse applique outline).

6.  Place chalkboard fabric on top of applique outline, covering completely.  Stitch fourth color to secure in place.

Using tiny scissors, trim chalkboard fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible without cutting stitching.

7.  Stitch fifth color (schoolhouse satin stitching).

8.  Stitch sixth color (bell) and left elastic placement line.

9.  Fold 2" piece of elastic in half and place on left elastic placement line with folded edge extending over design, and cut edges hanging off bottom of design approximately 1/4". 

Stitch next color to secure in place.

10.  Stitch eighth color (right elastic placement line.

11.Fold 2" piece of elastic in half and place on right elastic placement line with folded edge extending over design, and cut edges hanging off bottom of design approximately 1/4". 

Stitch next color to secure in place.

12.  Place a 6x8" piece of fabric FACE DOWN on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric.  Stitch the final color to secure in place.

13.  Unhoop Chalkboard mat and trim around perimeter of stitching leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

Turn right side out and whip opening shut.

14.  Insert chalk into loops.
