Easter Countdown Wallhanging Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.
Center a 7x9" piece of fabric on top of stabilizer.
Stitch first color to secure and to stitch bunny fabric placement outline).
2. Place a piece of fabric on top of fabric placement outline, covering completely.
Stitch second color to secure
3. Trim fabric as closely to face outline stitching as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.
Stitch third color (bummy satin stitching).
4. Stitch fourth color (chalkboard frame fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of fabric placement outline, covering completely.
Stitch 5th color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to frame outline stitching as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.
5. Stitch 6th color (frame satin stitching).
6. Stitch 7th color (chalkboard fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of chalkboard fabric on top of fabric placement outline, covering completely.
Stitch 8th color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to chalkboard outline stitching as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.
7. Stitch 9th color (chalkboard satin stitching).
8. Stitch 10th color (bear's hand fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of bear hand outline.
Stitch 11th color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to bear hand stitching as possible, being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch 12th color (hand satin stitching and second hand fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of second bear hand outline.
Stitch 13th color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to bear hand stitching as possible, being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.
Stitch 14th color (second hand satin stitching
9. Stitch 15th color (eyes and mouth).
10. Stitch 16th color (inner ears and nose).
Stitch 17th color (words).
11. Stitch 18th color (ribbon hanger placement line).
Place one end of a 10" piece of 7/8" ribbon on top of left ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" extends above design.
Stitch 19th color to secure.
Place opposite end of ribbon on top of right ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" extends above design.
IMPORTANT: Securely tape ribbon down flat INSIDE of design so presser foot does not become entangled in ribbon in future steps.
Stitch 20th color to secure right hand side of ribbon.
12. Stitch 21st color (chalk holder ribbon outline).
13. Place one end of a 12" piece of 1/8 - 1/4" ribbon over chalk holder ribbon outline so 1/2" extends over edge of design.
Stitch 22nd color to secure.
14. Tape chalk holder ribbon down INSIDE design.
Place a second 6x8" piece of fabric FACE DOWN on top of design.
Stitch 23rd color to secure.
18. Remove from hoop.
Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Turn right side out, remove tape, and press on BACK of design.
NOTE: Do not press directly on chalkboard fabric.
Sew small seam opening shut.
Tie chalk holder ribbon around a piece of chalk.
You're finished!
