Easter Bunny Book Buddy Marker Instructions

1. Hoop one or two layers of WSS stabilizer (I use a washaway/tearaway for the best results!).

Stitch the first color (bunny fabric placement outline and ribbon placement outline).  Do NOT place fabric on outline yet.

2.   Place a 12" piece of 1/8 - 1/4" ribbon centered over ribbon placement outline with approximately 1/2" of ribbon extending over top of ribbon outline in design area.

3.  Stitch second color to secure ribbon.

IMPORTANT:  Tape ribbon down so it does not become entangled in presser foot in future steps.

4.  Place a piece of fabric on top of bunny fabric placement outline covering completely.  Stitch third color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching.

5.  Stitch the fourth color (eyes, smile).

Stitch the fifth color (nose).

Stitch the sixth color (bow fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching.

6.  Place a second piece of fabric UNDER hoop stabilizer, RIGHT SIDE facing DOWN.  Stitch eighth color (bunny outline) to secure. 

7.  Remove hoop from machine, but do NOT remove fabric/stabilizer from hoop!

Carefully trim fabric closely around perimeter of bunny design being careful not to cut stabilizer or ribbon.  Replace hoop in machine.

9. Stitch ninth color (bunny satin stitching).

Stitch tenth color (bow satin stitching).

10.  Remove from hoop and carefully trim wss away from design.  Remove tape from ribbon.

You're finished!
