In The Hoop Earring Organizer (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 Earring Organizer Instructions:

1. Hoop one or two layers of heavy weight water soluble stabilizer.

I use Badgemaster for best results.

Stitch the first color (organizer fabric placement outline and ribbon line).

Cut a 9" piece of 7/8" wide ribbon and fold in half to form a loop.  Place loop centered on top of ribbon line so 1/2" of cut ends of ribbon extends inside design area and loop extends outside design area.

Tape ribbon loop down securely so it stays in place and does not become entangled with presser foot in future steps.

Stitch second color to secure.

2. Place a piece of fabric on top of design area, covering completely FACE DOWN.

Place a SECOND piece of fabric on top of design area, covering completely FACE UP.

Stitch third color to secure.

Trim both layers of fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible being careful not to cut stabilizer underneath or stitching.

Stitch fourth color (satin stitching).

3. Stitch fifth color (plastic mesh placement outline).

Remove hoop from machine but do NOT remove design from hoop.  Carefully cut away both layers of fabric from INSIDE mesh placment outline.  Be careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer!

Replace hoop.

Cover plastic mesh outline with a piece of plastic mesh.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

4.  Trim plastic mesh as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut outline stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch seventh color (mesh satin stitching).

Remove from hoop.  Trim excess stabilizer from around earring organizer perimeter and from behind mesh screen.

You're finished!
