Deluxe Love Pooch Puppet Set

The Love Pooch was made with Valentine's Day in mind, but can also be used for an everyday puppy puppet.

Simply skip the heart patch around the eye for a regular puppy.

 

The Deluxe Love Pooch Set is digitized for three hoop sizes!

The largest puppet is sized for the 6x10 hoop and works well for children and small adult hands.

The medium puppet is sized for the 5x7 hoop and works best for small children's hands.

The small finger puppet is sized for the 4x4 hoop.

All puppets are made from inexpensive fleece or felt and fabric scraps!

The cute details are added via applique to allow for quick stitching!

Love Pooch Puppets Instructions for 6x10" hoop (Measurements for 5x7"& 4x4" are given in parentheses respectively.)

(Note:  If preferred, the second piece of fleece can be floated on the BACK of the design in the final step and the finished puppet can be simply trimmed around the perimeter then without turning if desired.)

1.  Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.  Place one piece of 7x11" (6x8, 5x5) fleece on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2.  Stitch second color (eye patch).

3. Stitch third color (mouth, nose & eyes).

4. Stitch fourth color (shirt fabric placement outline).

5.  Place a piece of fabric on top of  shirt fabric placement outline and stitch fifth color to secure. 

Carefully trim fabric closely to shirt stitching without cutting felt or stitching.

6.  Stitch sixth color (shirt satin stitching).

7.  Stitch seventh color (pant fabric placement outline).

8.  Place a piece of fabric on top of pant fabric placement outline and stitch eighth color to secure.

Carefully trim fabric closely to pant stitching without cutting felt or stitching.

9. Stitch ninth color (pant satin stitching).

 10.  Place a second piece of 7x11" (6x8", 5x5") fleece on top of the hooped stabilizer/fleece and stitch the final color to secure.

14.  Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design leaving 1/4-3/8" seam allowance.

Clip curves and corners and turn right side out.
