Girl Frog Puppets Instructions for 6x10" hoop (Measurements for 5x7"  are given in parentheses.)

1.  Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.  Place one piece of 7x10" (6x8) felt or fleece on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (eye fabric placment outline).

2.  Place a piece of fabric on top of eye placement outline.  Stitch second color to secure.

3. Carefully trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible without cutting stitching. Stitch third color (eye satin stitching and second eye fabric placement outline).

4. Place a piece of fabric on top of second eye placement outline.  Stitch fourth color to secure.

5. Trim fabric as closely as possible to stitching outline. Stitch fifth color (second eye satin stitching).

6.  Stitch sixth color (frog outline).

7.  Stitch seventh color (eyes mouth).

8.  Stitch eighth color (dress fabric placement outline).

9.  Place fabric on top of dress outline. 

Stitch ninth color to secure.

10.  Trim fabric as closely as possible to stitching outline.

Stitch tenth color (dress satin stitching).

11.  Place a second piece of 7x10" (6x8) fleece on top of hoop and stitch the final color to secure.  Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design, clipping corners and curves, and turn right side out

-OR-

Float a second piece of 7x10" (6x8") felt underneath the hoop and stitch the final color to secure.

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design.

BOY Frog Puppets Instructions for 6x10" hoop (Measurements for 5x7"  are given in parentheses.)

GIRL Frog Puppets Instructions for 4x4" hoop 

1.  Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.  Place one piece of 5x5" felt or fleece on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (eyes).

2.  Stitch second color (frog outline).

3.  Stitch third color (eyes mouth).

4.  Stitch fourth color (dress fabric placement outline).

5.  Place fabric on top of dress outline. 

Stitch fifth color to secure.

6.  Trim fabric as closely as possible to stitching outline.

Stitch sixth color (dress satin stitching).

7.  Place a second piece of 5x5" fleece on top of hoop and stitch the final color to secure.  Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design, clipping corners and curves, and turn right side out
