Flower Baby Softies are made from inexpensive fleece.

Each one is made completely in one hooping

except for one small seam which is sewn shut by hand upon completion.

They are an incredibly quick and easy project!

Flower Baby Softies Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Float a piece of fleece (1" wider and 1" longer than hoop) on top of hooped stabilizer.

1.  Stitch first color (body fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of body outline, covering completely.

2.  Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

3.  Stitch third color (body satin stitching).

4.  Stitch fourth color (petals fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of petals outline, covering completely.

5.  Stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

6.  Stitch sixth color (petals satin stitching).

7.  Stitch seventh color (inner flower fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of inner flower outline, covering completely.

8.  Stitch eighth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.

9.  Stitch ninth color (inner flower satin stitching).

10.  Stitch tenth color (eyes and mouth).

11.  Stitch eleventh color (cheeks).

12.  Place a second piece of fleece same size as first FACING DOWN on top of hooped stabilizer/fleece.

Stitch final color to secure.

13.  Remove from hoop, and trim, leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves and corners well.

Turn right side out, stuff, and sew small seam opening closed by hand.
