1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (antennae).

Stitch second color (head fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible.

Stitch fourth color (head satin stitching).

2. Stitch fifth color (ladybug bottom portion fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible.

Stitch seventh color (bottom portion satin stitching).

 3. Stitch eighth color (body fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch ninth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline stitching as possible.

Stitch tenth color (body satin stitching).

 4.  Stitch 11th color (flowers).

Stitch 12th color (flower centers).
