The Christmas Jar Labels are the second set in the Christmas Fun Series.  Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

 In The Hoop Jar Labels were designed to fit around different sizes of canning jars.  The Christmas Jar Labels were designed for pint size jars, but can also fit larger jars if a larger piece of elastic is used.

This set includes a Magic Reindeer Food jar label and a Snowman In A Jar jar label!

I filled the Magic Reindeer Food with oats and candy glitter for the kids to sprinkle on the lawn Christmas Eve to guide Rudolph to their house!  The Snowman In A Jar, I filled with a carrot, buttons for eyes and a mouth, and a scarf - ready for that first big snow!

 
The Christmas jar labels are quick and easy to make!  They were designed for the 4x4 hoop and slip around a pint sized  jar with a piece of elastic to keep them in place.

Each Jar Label is made completely in one hooping with just one small seam to be sewn closed by hand or machine upon completion.

Christmas Jar Labels (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 

3.  Stitch eighth color (elastic placement lines).

Place a 5-6" piece of elastic horizontally over money jar label centered over elastic placement lines (elastic can be folded back upon itself in middle of design and taped into place).

Stitch ninth color to secure left side.

Stitch tenth color to secure right side.

4.  Place a second piece of fabric on top of design, FACE DOWN.

Stitch final color to secure.

5. Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves.  Turn right side out.

Sew small seam opening closed.

Slip over jar opening and center.

You're finished!

 Snowman In A Jar Label Instructions:

1. Hoop a piece of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (label fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

2. Stitch third color (snowman face fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric and stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to pumpkin outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch fifth color (snowman satin stitching).

Stitch sixth color (cheeks).

Stitch seventh color (nose).

Stitch eighth color (eyes, smile).

Stitch ninth color (wording).

3.  Stitch tenth color (elastic placement lines).

Place a 5-6" piece of elastic horizontally over money jar label centered over elastic placement lines (elastic can be folded back upon itself in middle of design and taped into place).

Stitch 11th color to secure left side.

Stitch 12th color to secure right side.

4.  Place a second piece of fabric on top of design, FACE DOWN.

Stitch final color to secure.

5. Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves.  Turn right side out.

Sew small seam opening closed.

Slip over jar opening and center.

You're finished!
