The Button On Felt Animals are the seventh design in the $2 Tuesday series.  Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

Button On Felt Animals are a VERY QUICK and EASY and INEXPENSIVE way to jazz up your ponytail or headband elastics! They can be added to any item to which you can sew on a button... even shoes or clothing!

Each Felt Animal is made entirely in the hoop.  Each one takes just one minute stitching time and 4 color stops!  They are made from inexpensive felt with a hidden buttonhole on the back to slip over a button on any item you wish!

A button is stitched to the ponytail or headband elastics and the Felts just button on and off to coordinate with your favorite outfits!  You can also add a button to your favorite shoes, totes, or clothing and button on the felts and button off to wash!

Each Button On Felt Animal is approximately 2 - 2 1/2".

Button On Felt Animal Instructions:

1.  Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (felt placement outline).

Float a piece of felt UNDER hooped design, face down, covering design completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch third color (buttonhole).

2.  Remove from hoop.  DO NOT REMOVE FROM HOOP. Open buttonhole with a small pair of scissors (it is easier to open the buttonhole in this setp than after the final piece of felt is added).  Replace hooped design on machine.

3.  Cover design completely with a second piece of felt.

Stitch final color to secure.

Trim around perimeter of design 1/8"  from stitching.

3.  Hand or machine stitch a 3/4 - 1" button onto a headband or pony tail elastic, shoes, tote or item you wish to button Felt Animal to.
