New Drawstring Bags were designed for the 5x7 hoop!  Each bag requires only two VERY QUICK hoopings!  The back of the Bunny Drawstring Bag takes 4 minutes and the front takes 10 minutes stitching time! 

It has carrot shaped button holes and a bunny applique on the front that can be stitched with fabric or clear vinyl for a window to see the inside contents.  

The Bunny Drawstring Bag can be filled with candy or other Easter treats!

No hand sewing is required!

 5x7 Bunny Drawstring Bag Instructions

Cut 2 6x16" pieces of fabric and fold in half and press so they are 6x8".

Stitch Back First:

1.  Hoop 1 layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (bag fabric placment outline).

Place one piece of folded fabric on top of outline so folded edge is even with straight top edge and entire design area is covered.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch third color (carrot tops).

Stitch fourth color (carrot buttonholes).

Remove from hoop and trim stabilizer away from top and opening of bag.  Do not trim fabric yet.

Stitch Front:

1.  Hoop 1 layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (bag fabric placment outline).

Place one piece of folded fabric on top of outline so folded edge is even with straight top edge and entire design area is covered.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch third color (carrot tops).

Stitch fourth color (carrot buttonholes).

2. Stitch fifth color (bunny outline).

If using vinyl for bunny, carefully cut away both layers of fabric inside bunny outline as closely to stitching as possible.

Cover outline with vinyl or fabric.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric or vinyl as close to outside of bunny outline stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch seventh color (bunny satin stitching).

Place back on top of design so folded edge is even with front folded edge and sides are even.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design and trim stabilizer from bag opening. Carefully trim away stabilizer behind vinyl window.  Turn right side out.

Cut a 28" piece of ribbon and thread through button holes. 

Pull taut and tie in a bow.
