Birthday Sock Monkey Instructions:

1. Hoop item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (monkey face fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch third color (face satin stitching).

2.   Stitch fourth color (monkey lower face fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch sixth color (lower face satin stitching).

3.  Stitch seventh color (smile).

Stitch eighth color (eyes).

4. Stitch ninth color (birthday hat fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 11th color (hat satin stitching).

Stitch 12th color (birthday hat pompom fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 14th color (pompom satin stitching).
