The Big Ear Bunnies, are just that... bunnies with really big ears!

These Bunny Softies and Appliques were designed for both the 5x7 and 6x10 hoop! 

Each Softie is made in one hooping with just one straight seam to sew sewn closed by hand upon completion.

  Each Applique is sized for jumpers, jonjons, tshirts and sweatshirts! They would make great matching sibling outfits!

Big Ear Bunny Softies:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Center a 6x8" piece of fleece on top for the 5x7 bunny.

Center a 6x11" piece of fleece on top for the 6x10 bunny.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (mouth).

Stitch third color (nose).

Stitch fourth color (eyes).

3.  Stitch fifth color (cheek fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric and stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch seventh color (cheek satin stitching and second cheek fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric and stitch eighth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

 Stitch ninth color (cheek satin stitching and inner ears).

4.  Stitch tenth color (front paws).

5. Cover design completely with a piece of fleece the same measurement as in step one.

Stitch eleventh color to secure.

Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2 seam allowance and clipping curves and corners well.

Turn right side out.  Stuff with polyfil.

Sew small opening closed by hand.

You're finished!

Big Ear Bunny Appliques:

1. Stitch item to be appliqued as desired.

Stitch first color (bunny fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric and stitch second color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch third color (bunny satin stitching and front paws).

2. Stitch fourth color (eyes, mouth).

Stitch fifth color (nose).

Stitch sixth color (inner ears).

3.  Stitch seventh color (cheek fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric and stitch eighth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch ninth color (cheek satin stitching and second cheek fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric and stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

 Stitch 11th color (cheek satin stitching).
