 The Bath Scrubbie Pocket Mitts were designed for the 5x7 and 6x10 hoop.  They are an extremely quick and easy in the hoop project!  Each mitt is made entirely in one hooping with no hand sewing required!  Each mitt takes 4 minutes or less stitching time!  No hand sewing is required! 

The Bath Scrubbie Pocket Mitts have a nylon netting pocket to insert a bar of soap and provide a good lather.

Bath Scrubbie Pocket Mitt Instructions:

You will need the following pieces of fabric.

for 5x7 mitt:

2 7x16" pieces of terry cloth folded to 7x8"

1 7x15" piece of nylon netting folded to 7x7.5"

1 3" piece of narrow ribbon folded in half to 1.5"

for 6x10 mitt:

2 8x22" pieces of terry cloth folded to 8x11"

1 8x21" piece of nylon netting folded to 8.10.5"

1 3" piece of narrow ribbon folded in half to 1.5"

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (terry fabric placement outline).

Place one piece of terry on top of placement outline so folded edge is even with straight edge.

Stitch second color to secure and to stitch netting pocket placement outline.

2. Place folded netting on top of design so design is completely covered and netting folded edge is even with horizontal netting placement outline.

Stitch third color to secure.

3. Stitch fourth color (ribbon loop placement line.

Place folded ribbon centered over ribbon line so loop portion is inside design area and approximately 1/2" of cut ends are extending outside design area.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

4.  Place second piece of folded terry on top of design so folded edge is even with folded edge of previously placed terry cloth.

Stitch final color.

5. Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

Turn right side out and insert soap in pocket.

You're finished!
