
New Animal Pencil Caddies are made in the 6x10 hoop and are just as cute as they can be!
They make up completely in the hoop and incredible QUICK!
They take very little fabric and would make darling party favors or gifts!
They hold 8 pencils (pick your favorite colors!) and have a handy little wrist strap.
Some brands of thinner markers will also fit (I used Crayola thin markers).

Frog pencil Caddy:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
2. Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).
3. Place a 6x10" piece of fabric centered over the outline.
4. Stitch the second color to secure in place and to stitch pocket placement line
3. Stitch third color (eye fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric centered over eye outline, covering completely.
4. Stitch fourth color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to eye outline as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.
5. Stitch fifth color (eye satin stitching and second eye fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric centered over second eye outline, covering completely.
6. Stitch sixth color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to second eye outline as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.
7. Stitch seventh color (eye satin stitching).
8. Stitch eighth color (eyes and mouth).
9. Fold and press a 7x12" piece of fabric so it is 7x6".
Place folded edge along horizontal placement line on hooped stabilizer/fabric.
IMPORTANT: Tape Folded edge securely down so presser foot does not become entangled in fabric in future steps.
10. Stitch the ninth color to secure pocket and stitch dividers.
11. Fold and press a second 7x12" piece of fabric so it is 7x6".
Place on top of previous piece of fabric so folded edges are even.
IMPORTANT: Tape Folded edge securely down so presser foot does not become entangled in fabric in future steps.
Stitch 10th color to secure.
12. Stitch the 11th color (ribbon placement line).
13. Fold a 10" piece of ribbon in half and place centered on the ribbon placement line so 1/2" of cut edges extend OUTSIDE of fabric outline stitching.
14. Stitch the 12th color to secure in place.
15. Tape the ribbon INSIDE the fabric outline stitching or tuck inside pocket.
16. Place a 6x10" piece of fabric on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric FACE DOWN. Stitch the final color.
17. Remove from hoop and trim leaving approximately 1/2" seam allowance. Clip corners.
18. Turn right side out. Turn pocket to back of design.
Insert pencils.
Bear Pencil Caddy:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
2. Stitch the first color (fabric placement outline).
3. Place a 6x10 piece of fabric centered over the outline.
4. Stitch the second color to secure in place and to stitch pocket placement line
3. Stitch third color (muzzle fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric centered over muzzle outline, covering completely.
4. Stitch fourth color to secure.
Trim fabric as closely to muzzle outline as possible, being careful not to cut fabric underneath or stitching.
5. Stitch fifth color (muzzle satin stitching).
6. Stitch sixth color (eyes and mouth).
7. Stitch seventh color (nose).
8. Fold and press a 7x12" piece of fabric so it is 7x6".
