Our 5x7 Painter boy and Painter girl puppets are each made entirely in one hooping.  Each painter is dressed in their paint splattered overalls after a hard day's work!  They are each made in the 5x7 hoop and sized for a child's hand.

5x7 Painter Boy & Girl Hand Puppets:

Painter Boy/Girl Hand Puppet instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Place a piece of 6x8" felt on top of stabilizer, centered.

Stitch first color to secure.

2. Stitch second color (face fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch fourth color (face satin stitching, nose, hands).

Stitch fifth color (facial features).

3. Stitch sixth color (shirt fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 8th color (shirt satin stitching).

4. Stitch 9th color (overalls fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch10th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 11th color (overalls satin stitching).

5.  Stitch 12th color (hair fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 13th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 14th color (hair satin stitching).

6.  Stitch 15th color (hat fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of outline covering completely.

Stitch 16th color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

Stitch 17th color (hat satin stitching).

7. Stitch 18th color (Paint can).

8. Stitch 19th color (first color paint drips).

9.  Stitch 20th color (second color paint drips).

10.  Stitch 21st color (third color paint drips).

11.  Stitch 22nd color (fourth color paint drips).

12.  Float a second 6x8" piece of felt UNDERNEATH hooped design, covering completely.

Stitch final color to secure. 

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design.
